I began my long awaited career move as a Massage Therapist in 1994, bumped into Yoga that year and then trained as a teacher in 1999. What a great ride it has been! Massage enables me to do work I love. Imagine going to a job where people walk out of your office feeling great all the time and I get to be a part of it!
Yoga has been a blessing in my life. To be able to share what I learn on and off the mat with community is pure joy. To embrace the mystery with humor and enthusiasm, while wrapping my heart around the room, I’ll tell you folks, it doesn’t get any better than that!
I hope to continue to bring Yoga to individuals and communities as a healing tool, creating healthier, happier, more whole people. I’ve had the grace of many wonderful teachers and their teachings, but find the best teacher to be life itself. I’m ridiculously flawed, perfectly imperfect, filled with gooky stuff and quite comfortable with it.
Pulling out the file, here are some of the trainings I’ve done, places I’ve been: Licensed Massage Therapist (500+hours), Kripalu Yoga Teacher (500+hours), Rieki 3rd Degree 1996, TCM QiGong in China 1997, Yoga for the Special Child 1999, Yoga Ed K-8 2007, Ayurveda for Practitioners in India 2008, I’ve explored Ayurveda and Restorative Yoga in Brazil, Ashtanga in Costa Rica and Jiva Mukti in Hawaii. I have also had the delight of teaching the Hokey Pokey to a group of Brazillians and the Maharajeh in India.
Up to Date & Effective January 1, 2013, I am teaching All Level Yoga at the Pardeeville Library. Having taught in Pardeeville since 2006, I feel blessed to see and hear the way Yoga has shifted others through such positive growth.
I developed a Stretch, Breathe and Strengthen class for anyone not willing or able to get up and down from the floor. SBS takes place either in a chair or standing and has been a great tool to bring wonderful people together! I know I have fun! I have also put together a CD, please contact me by email or phone to purchase for $10.
I am also grateful to continue the Massage work I so enjoy!
Om Shanti Om
